When you're asked that "Do you want to save the changes before closing document?", there're three options, "Save", "Cancel" and "Don't Save". First two has usually keyboard shortcuts, "Return" and "Escape" respectively. But for last one "Don't Save", some application defines keyboard shortcut and others don't.
Actually, Apple defines standard keyboard shortcut for "Don't Save" button, command-D. If the app uses Apple's Navigation Services collectly, that shortcut works well, but many apps don't. Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office 2001, Eudora or even Apple's Script Editor. It's very handy if every application obey that guideline.
Don't Save! is a small extension that you can use command-D keyboard shortcut anywhere you expect. Try it.
